As time went by, about ten years later, again, I read this book.
After these years, I’ve gained the ability to read it in English. However, I’ lost the ability to read it naively.
Picasso said that When I was the age of these children I could draw like Raphael; it took me many years to learn how to draw like these children. And the it also take me great effort to try to think like these children. As the book said, men and grown-up are boring species, I, too, had lost the imagination to discover the elephant in the boa constrictor, and gotten trapped by the fixed mindset of seeing things too realistically.
What is the most painful is that though my imagination was undermined by growth year by year, still, I remember the thoughts of the first time I read this book a hot summer afternoon on the balcony. The figure of B-612 and our little prince, the ridiculous tippler and merchant created by myself ten years ago keeps fluttering in my head these days. Yet they are memories rather than fantasies. I still can recall the a puzzled feeling when I read the absurd figures for the first time, but now I see only irony in them.
As to the book itself, the pure love between the fox and prince, the growth and understanding of him to his fragile and shy rose, the kindness of the snake given him, altogether weaved such a warm fairy tale.
True beauty lies in the invisible part of the world, and so does love.
As our little prince travels from his tiny teeny planet, he thought his rose didn’t love him, yet after a whole year’s wandering, finally he learned the way to understand rose’s love. And the rose, who’s under the shut glass and the circling posts, also get to know how to express her love in a more direct and warmer way.
However, when I’m analyzing the link between our little rose and her prince, I have become a weird and boring grown-up.
Then I guess the best sentence to end is that ---
I love you, though I may not be perfect, though I may get you annoyed and confused, though I may have my own temper, I still want to be a better one, to see you on the rock, to watch us get closer day by day, to watch the wheat and have it bring you back to mind, to open my windows and see you smile at me from the milky way.
So… tame me!

For his rule was not only absolute: it was also universal. “And the stars obey you?” “Certainly they do,” the king said. “They obey instantly. I do not permit insubordination.” Such power was a thing for the little prince to marvel at. If he had been master of such complete authority, he would have been able to watch the sunset, not forty-four times in one day, but seventy-two, or even a hundred, or even two hundred times, without ever having to move his chair. And because he felt a bit sad as he remembered his little planet which he had forsaken, he plucked up his courage to ask the king a favor: “I should like to see a sunset… do me that kindness… Order the sun to set…” “If I ordered a general to fly from one flower to another like a butterfly, or to write a tragic drama, or to change himself into a sea bird, and if the general did not carry out the order that he had received, which one of us would be in the wrong?” the king demanded. “The general, or myself?” “You,” said the little prince firmly. “Exactly.
